Happy Graduation Day (Thursday, June 5)! We are so excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with the Stoughton High Class of 2025. Graduation will be OUTSIDE on the SHS TURF FIELD, which means no tickets are necessary.
The gates of the turf field will open at 4:30pm for general seating and seating is first come first served. Please make note that the parking in the main lot in front of the high school building, in between the building and the turf field, is reserved and handicap parking only. If you need handicap parking, please see the information below to reserve your spot.
It is predicted that it will be very warm. Please dress appropriately. There is limited shaded area in the turf field complex. If the weather is a concern for any guest, there are other viewing options available (please see the information below).
Graduation Schedule:
• 4pm - Seniors report to a classroom marked with their last names on B1st or C1st. Caps and gowns & stoles are to be worn.
• 4:30pm - Gates to the turf field open for spectators
• 5:30pm - Commencement Exercises at SHS.
How to Watch:
• The graduation will be broadcast live on SMAC's Education Channel, Comcast Channel 6 and Verizon Channel 26, and on the SMAC website, http://www.stoughtontv.com/ (scroll to the bottom of the homepage and watch the live stream of the Education Channel).
• A link for a live stream for the graduation will also be shared on the Stoughton Public Schools Facebook page as well as the Stoughton Public Schools and Stoughton High School websites.
Specific Information for Graduation on June 5th:
• Seniors will report to a classroom marked with their last names on B1st or C1st @ 4:00 pm with their cap, gown, and stole.
• Seniors should park in the shared Middle School Parking lot when they arrive.
• Parking is available for guests in the parking lots surrounding the High School, Middle School, and Wilkins Elementary School. No street parking is allowed. The front parking lot (in front of the tennis courts, turf stadium) is Reserved parking only. Families should enter the high school campus from Adams Street, the Middle School Campus from Cushing Street or the Wilkins from Central Street.
• Handicap parking is available with a placard. Handicap parking is available for guests in the front parking lot. Please call the SHS Main Office to reserve Handicap Parking at (781) 344-7001 ext. 4141. Guests who have reserved handicap parking should use the Adams Street Entrance (by the Tennis Courts).
• Handicap seating is available in the bleachers.
• Graduation will begin promptly at 5:30 pm.
• The following items are prohibited in the Turf Stadium. Guests with prohibited items will be turned away:
- Bags larger than 12"X12"X12": contents of bags could be inspected. Exceptions can be made for guests with special medical needs.
- Any type of portable chair or seat other than those approved for persons with accessibility issues.
- Tripods or monopods.
- Flag poles over 2 feet in length.
- Weapons of any kind, including pocket/utility knives.
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Illegal drugs and substances, including cigarettes, cigars and vapes.
- Animals other than service dogs assisting those with disabilities.
- Noisemakers, bullhorns, air horns, vuvuzelas, etc.
- Helium balloons, beach balls.
- Stadium personnel reserves the right to deem any other items inappropriate.
• The following applies specifically to any guest or graduate seated on the turf field:
- No spiked shoes, cleats, or high heels may be worn on the turf field.
- No food, gum, or liquid other than water is allowed on the turf field.
• Seniors or their parent/guardian will pick up diplomas on Friday, June 6th between 12:00 - 2:30 pm at the SHS Bus Entrance.
