School Counseling Department News

This fall there are some exciting happenings in the Stoughton High School School Counseling Department:

Weekly APPLICATION ASSISTANCE is available every Wednesday beginning October 2, 2019 from 2:15-2:45 in the College and Career Center (Room 200). The Counseling Team will assist with planning, application process and answer any questions. No appointment necessary!

The College and Career Center hosts admission representatives colleges, the military and technical schools on a regular basis. Meeting with a college representative is a great opportunity to discuss academic programs, campus life, financial aid and admission procedures in small-group sessions. SENIORS, please attend. Senior Parent Knight - Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 6pm:

School Counseling has a full workshop planned including:

- Principal Miller will inform seniors and their parent/guardians of key dates and important milestones requiring action steps by each senior.
- Counselors will present information about supports and processes available to SHS seniors applying to post-secondary programs as well as to those taking the path less traveled. October 2, 2019 Presentation Slides.
- A representative from the Massachusetts Educational Financial Authority (MEFA) will deliver the College Financing Seminar.
