Junior College and Career Night

Dear Class of 2021 Parent/Guardian,

School Counseling invites you to the Junior College and Career Night to be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 6:30 PM at Stoughton HIgh School.

The presentation will begin with a brief Keynote delivered by Scott Boydston, Admissions Representative, Universal Technical Institute. Mr. Boysdston will be joined by panelists including:

● Michael O'Keefe, Admissions Counselor, UMASS Boston
● Fran Ridolfo, Admissions Representative, Johnson & Wales University
● Nathan Galati, TSgt, USAF

Following the panel discussion, SHS School Counseling will present critical information and review timelines for parents and students planning for college admissions, work and the military.

We have included a video link to “Success in the New Economy”. Our goal in sharing the presentation is to communicate the importance of career planning with our students regardless of their post secondary plans. Developing a college and career plan now saves money, impacts future opportunities and impacts career satisfaction life-long.

To be clear, this is an evening for all interested in supporting their child’s plans for life after Stoughton High School regardless of their post secondary plans.

Supporting your child in attaining their college and career goals requires a team. Don’t miss this important meeting. We encourage parents to attend with their juniors.

Sincerely,

Beth Hennessy
Director of School Counseling
Stoughton Public Schools
